Derek Mercer Presenting John Hill With His Softball NL Award

2014 Softball NL Coach of the Year: John Hill

Level 3 Coaching Status , Certified Level 2 Instructor & 20+ Years Coaching Experience…

John Hill is a true gentleman with a competitive edge, but still manages to encourage fair play. Has demonstrated the ability to relate to his players on a personal level and gets the best out of his players, while instilling in his players the belief and confidence that they can succeed.

Giving back to the game is one of his properties and he preaches the same to his players.

John Hill has devoted his life to the game of softball and one word that best describes him is Professionalism.

His teams are well prepared, both on and off the field, and his knowledge and dedication to the game, his teams and players is world class.

Over the course of the last four seasons John has developed from a Senior “A” Coach to an Elite/World Class Coach.

A Triple Crown of Championships at any level is difficult and it is even more impressive to accomplish this feat at a high level.

This past season, John Hill was the Head Coach of the 3Cheers Pub Bud Light Senior “A” Fastpitch team that captured their third straight Canadian Senior Men’s Fastpitch Championship and was the Field Manager of the Hill United Chiefs who captured the ASA National Championship and the ISC World Championship.

He led his 3Cheers Pub Bud Light Senior Men’s Fastpitch team to an 8-1 Record at the Canadian Senior Men’s Fastpitch Championship and guided the Hill United Chiefs to a perfect 4-0 Record at the ASA National Championship and a perfect 6-0 Record at the ISC World Tournament.

John was recently named the 2014 Softball Canada Home Run Sports Coach of the Year and will be presented with his award at the Softball Canada Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet on November 15th, 2014 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
