Catcher’s Clinic with Ryan Boland

Softball NL & Browning Harvey will be sponsoring a Catcher’s Clinic for Minor Catcher’s on Saturday, July 7th, 2012, from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Holy Cross Elementary School at 145 St. Clare Avenue in St. John’s.

This Session is Open to Male and Female Minor Division Catcher’s in both Club and Provincial Programs.

Catching is not just another position on the ball diamond, it’s a critical position on the diamond!

Softball NL strongly encourages all provincial coaches/club coaches to send their catcher’s to this worthwhile clinic. This clinic will only occur once this season and we highly recommend that your catcher’s attend. We would like this to be a part of your training process and inform your catcher’s that their attendance and participation is critical to their training.

2) Practical

The idea would be to take the classroom theory and apply to the field where further instruction would be given to develop the skills of a catcher.

Encourage your catcher’s to be engaging and come with questions for Ryan. This will only enhance their experience.  Since you cannot have catcher’s without pitcher’s we also ask that your pitcher’s attend at least the field training. Please have player’s bring a notebook, pen, catcher’s gear, and a ball.

Softball NL are covering all expenses of the clinic, but we require a $10.00 fee to cover the cost of lunch.  Pre-Registration is Mandatory via email to Softball NL (softball@sportnl.ca) by July 2nd, 2012. Coaches are also welcomed to attend, but once again Registration is Mandatory.

I cannot stress enough the importance of this clinic. Softball NL are more than fortunate enough to avail of Ryan’s expertise and I guarantee your players will gain valuable skills!

Please Note: All Attending MUST Be Members Of Softball NL And Have Registered With Their Associations Prior To Registration.
