John Sullivan Level V Designation

Softball NL recognized John Sullivan On His Fast Pitch Level V Designation by presenting him with a plaque at the Softball NL AGM.

Softball Newfoundland Labrador (Softball NL) wishes to acknowledge the accomplishment of one of its own umpires who, in 2013, attained Level V Softball Canada Umpire status. This man is one of two active umpires who currently holds that distinction in our Province and one of only seven to reach that level in the history of Softball NL.

He has umpired at most levels of National competition, including two Senior Men’s Nationals, the ISC’s in 2013 and he has been invited back to the ISC’s again in 2014.

Level V Designation takes a lot of dedication and hard work, not to mention a lot of abuse and not too much praise along the way.

Umpiring is a very important part of our game and to have umpires in our system with the knowledge and practical experience that it takes to reach this level is indeed a great asset.
