2016 International Softball Coaches Symposium

The upcoming 2016 International Softball Coaches Symposium is being hosted by Softball Canada and Softball New Brunswick from Friday, April 1 to Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Fredericton Inn in Fredericton, NB for the classroom sessions and UNB BMO Field for the practical on-field sessions.

Dr. David Scott, PhD

David’s Bio:

  • Associate professor of Sport Psychology in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
  • Sport Psychology Expert
  • University of New Brunswick
  • Currently a Sport Psychology consultant with the Montreal Canadiens of the NHL, the St. John IceCaps of the AHL, and the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL.

David’s Topics:

  • Developing Mental Toughness
  • Developing a Culture of Excellence

In total, there are 11 classroom sessions and 6 on-field sessions over 3 days plus a Coaches Social event and Breakout sessions held over lunch on Saturday where you will get to interact with fellow attendees and the presenters!! SCHEDULE

  • Friday, April 1 – 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm with Coaches Social Event following presentations
  • Saturday, April 2 – 8:00 am – 10:00 pm (Nutritional Breaks and Lunch included, Dinner on your own)
  • Sunday, April 3 – 8:30 am – 1:15 pm (Nutritional Break included)

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (PD) POINTS

For certified new NCCP coaches who need to maintain their certification in the new NCCP, this event will be worth three (3) Professional Development points. NCCP # must be included on registration form or provided at registration to be credited PD points in the NCCP Database (The Locker).
