Softball NL AGM & Preparing For 2018 Season!
The days on the calendar are quickly passing by and before you know it, the ball diamonds in Newfoundland Labrador will be alive with the familiar sounds of kids playing the great game of Softball!
There are a lot of things happening in preparation for the 2018 Season…
SOFTBALL NL AGM
The Softball NL AGM is to be held the weekend of April 13-15 at Mount Pearl Senior High. The plan is to make this an event, a weekend of Softball including the Annual General Meeting, Annual Awards Presentation, Social, Skills, Coaching Skills, Umpires Meetings and Minor/Adult Meetings. Stay tuned for details and updates.
SOFTBALL NL COACHING COMMITTEE
The Softball NL Coaching Committee are working on finalizing the selection process for Head Coaches for the Provincial (All-Star) Teams who will be representing the province at the Nationals and Eastern Canadians this year. With that, Softball NL plans to hold ID Camps in April and May, most of which will take place at the Techniplex in St. John’s. Notices will be sent out in advance.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT CAMPS (709 ELITE)
Softball NL have identified and approved Eddy McDonald (709 Elite) to be our affiliate who will be available to conduct Skill Development Camps on behalf of Softball NL. Eddy and his group specializes in various Skill Development Sessions including Hitting, Fielding and CANpitch for U10, U12 and U14. EVENTS CALENDAR SECTION ON WEBSITE
Please visit the new Events Calendar tab on the Softball NL website. This section will be updated on a weekly basis to keep everyone informed of Softball NL Events and Activities. The Softball NL Twitter Account and Softball NL Facebook Page will be updated as well.
COACHING COURSES
Softball NL will soon provide information on Coaching Courses, so please check back periodically for updates.
HOSTING APPLICATIONS
Softball NL will be sending out HOSTING APPLICATIONS for Provincial, Eastern Canadian, Ballistic & Jamboree events. Please take the time to consider hosting an event in 2018!
